*UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE* This years Float winners and prize checks will be announced and given out at the rodeo grounds following the conclusion of the parade! All who have entered floats to be judged are encouraged to attend!.
The 76th American Legion Post 114 Cotton Carnival Parade will take place on Saturday October 3rd at 10am. The same rules will apply as years past. The only motorcycles that will be allowed in the parade will be our American Legion Riders and the Shriners. NO EXCEPTIONS! With this year being an election year we will have numerous politicians here. We will have the Republicans line up on Kathleen St. off of Pine St. and the Democrats on Matthews St. Once again this year we will have judged floats and HS bands. The bands will congregate at the SHS main building and will be released in the order they arrive. If you have a float that will be judged as a Youth float you can line up on Courtney St. by Matthews Elementary. If you have an Adult float you can line up on E. Gladys. ALL FLOATS WILL HAVE TO ENTER ON E. GLADYS OR COURTNEY. Greer St. WILL BE CLOSED off to the public and kept clear for our American Legion Dignitaries. All other entries can go to the Field House parking lot or line up on Ables Road. There will be Parade Directors in NEON GREEN vest to direct you where to line up and when to enter the parade. All floats will have a tag to identify them to the judges. They will also have an entry form to fill out when they arrive. Please be at the location and ready by 9:30am to ensure you have had time to fill the form out and back to the Parade Marshals. Thank you for all of your cooperation and making our Parade the best in all of Missouri
